Experience the charm of local artisans at the Barnstaple Lion’s Club’s successful Easter Craft Fair in the newly refurbished Pannier Market - a celebration of community spirit and craftsmanship
The Barnstaple Lion’s Club hosted a successful Easter craft fair at the newly refurbished Barnstaple Pannier Market. Graham Kingsbury, a representative from the club said: ““We were so impressed with the refurbishment of Barnstaple Pannier Market that we felt as a club that we ought to do something to use this wonderful facility that the town has now got.
“We have in the past organised a very small Easter craft fair, but we thought that the Pannier Market would be the ideal place to support the relaunch of the Pannier Market.”
The event, held on Sunday, March 24, featured various artisans, food stalls, and other vendors. Kingsbury reported that it was “very successful,” with some stallholders already signing up for the club’s next event, the Picnic in Rock Park, scheduled for Sunday, June 9. This will be the 16th year the club has organised the picnic.
Given the success of the Easter craft fair, the Barnstaple Lion’s Club is considering hosting an Autumn craft fair in October. “The event was such a success we’re considering doing an Autumn craft fair in October,” Kingsbury added.
