Beauty fans are loving a £39 LED light therapy mask that 'clears up acne within two weeks'. Amazon shoppers have labelled the mask an "absolute bargain."
Amazon is now selling the Hangsun Light Therapy Acne Treatment LED Mask for £38.99, down from £46.99. The mask uses light therapy technology, with three lights - blue, red and orange.
The blue and red light is said to reduce any existing inflamed breakouts and target spots before they appear. The mask claims blue light targets acne-causing bacteria while red light reduces acne inflammation. Orange light improves the dull-looking skin.
It is powered by USB port or portable battery power bank, so you can use it as many treatments as needed. The mask uses "proven technology to clear acne and allow the skin to heal itself", according to Amazon.
It is suitable for all skin types and 'feels lightweight'. It also promises "visible results in as little as one week with results improving over time."
The mask has an overall rating of 4.1 stars out of five, having racked up more than 900 rave reviews. Among them, one person said: "Been using this for a week and following instructions.
"Can 100% see the difference and other people have commented on my skin looking better. Worth the money, can't wait to see the progress in a few weeks time."
A second wrote: "About two years ago I found this mask. Here is my honest experience. My normal is that I am never without spots and at 36 have started to scar from the years of spots. After one to two weeks of using this mask I was acne free.
"I have tested this over two years, because I have been travelling and also I hate sitting still, even for 10 minutes- when I use this mask for 2 months I can stop for 4-6 weeks without any recurrence if acne. Then it comes back and again, if I use the mask it goes again within two weeks.
"This mask is not expensive and is reusable. I have recommended it to friends with acne and they have similar results. If you have acne, try it. It genuinely is the only thing that worked for me."
A third shopper added: "Can’t believe I’m saying this but this mask actually works. I’ve suffered from stubborn hormonal acne for YEARS and nothing has ever worked (believe me I’ve tried every lotion and potion). After using this mask for just a week the change in my skin has been drastic.
"In the morning my spots are all but gone! Everyone’s skin is different and what works for some might not work for others but I would definitely suggest trying this if you’re tired of using yet another cream that ends up peeling your skin.
"What I will say is the blue light which apparently targets the bacteria that causes acne really brings your spots out, so don’t use it for a couple of days before an event. The orange light is fantastic at calming angry red spots and really helps settle them down."
"The mask comes with eye goggles which aren’t the comfiest but definitely wear them. I’ve found the mask can give you a headache otherwise. It’s not like sun bed light, it doesn’t burn your face and doesn’t feel hot. Honestly I don’t know how it works but for the results you get compared to the price, this product is an absolute bargain."
However, another shopper said: "Unfortunately it didn't work for me at all. Hence zero stars. I wasted half n hour on it every single day for the past two weeks."
A second wrote: "The mask is ok but it’s uncomfortable when I use the protection for eyes hurt I feel really no good and I can’t see nothing for 30 min until I finish the treatment so I prefer to buy mask eyes don’t have light contact and no need to cover them."
