Amazon shoppers are heaping praise on a moisturiser they 'wish they'd found sooner.' More than 1,000 shoppers have left rave reviews of the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Replenishing HydraGel Complex with many claiming they see a 'visible difference' in their skin.
The online retailer has launched its Premium Beauty Week Sale, which will see high-end brands such as Elemis, Neal’s Yard, ghd and more drop in price. The sale started today (April 16) and will run until Monday, April 22, with reductions across skincare, makeup, haircare and electronic beauty expected throughout.
The Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Replenishing HydraGel Complex is now priced at £15.50, down from £30. The full product description reads: "This refreshing, oil-free water gel is formulated to plump skin with 24-hour hydration and refine the look of pores."
The moisturiser is an "oil-free water gel" formulated to "plump skin with 24-hour hydration", with hyaluronic acid to smooth skin and minimise the look of lines and wrinkles, as well as Vitamin E to soften and protect the skin's lipid barrier.
The product has an overall rating of 4.5 stars out of five, having racked up more than 1,000 rave reviews. Among them, one person said: "If you have crinkley skin and are older this is a must. Re-hydrates and smooths out my lines on my face, to where I notice the difference."
A second wrote: "Wish I found this sooner. This cream is amazing! I prefer gel creams to normal creams, but even though gels can feel quite dry and tight, this one is super moisturising, lightweight and not greasy!
"It smells amazing, a little goes a long way and I like that you can use it morning or evening. You get a lot of product for the money too. This will definitely be a cream I will continue to purchase and the search for a new gel cream is over!"
A third shopper added: "I've been using this moisturiser for about 6 months now and I love it. It sinks into skin nicely without leaving it oily. It definitely does make a 'visible difference' to my skin it leaves your skin looking fresher and fine lines around my eyes and forehead have softened. This is my third pot but I do use it morning and night every day. I think its good value and delivery was fast."
However, some shoppers were less impressed. One said: "Not suited for my dry and sensitive skin. Flared up and felt extremely tight. Would not recommend for dry skin."
Another wrote: "Sorry everybody, but I don't agree with the five star ratings. This cream is as weak in application as it is in texture and does little to replenish. After using it, my skin soon felt dry again and certainly did not improve its condition.
"For all you fellow face cream goddesses, like me, who need such a product to work, then, look at the cheaper ones. I find L'Oreal pretty good, they seem to cater for the discerning customer. But at the end of the day, it comes down to what you find is good for you. We all have different skin types."
Alternatively, a number of other retailers have gel moisturisers available. CultBeauty has the Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme for £42 or the Byoma Moisturising Gel Cream for £12.99, while FaceTheory has the Supergel Oil-free Moisturiser M3 for £16. Clinique has the Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, while e.l.f has the SuperHydrate Gel Moisturiser for £12.
