Cream teas have been helping raise funds for Cullompton’s School Pastors.
The team hosted the event at the Cullompton Baptist Church on Saturday, April 13.
School and college pastors are volunteers who commit themselves to the service of young people in their community, offering a reassuring and friendly presence to students who may not feel able to speak openly to teachers or parents.
In partnership with schools, colleges and other local agencies, they also work to enhance the safety and emotional and social well-being of students through caring, listening and helping.
Marilyn Bidmead said: “Today we are school pastors and in collaboration with Cullompton Baptist Church, we're putting on a cream tea to raise funds for school pastors.
“If anyone wants to know more about school pastors to contact us. I'm the treasurer of school pastors and you can find out more on 07749086976 or on marilyn.bidmead@btinternet.com.”
