Dorothy Perkins has announced that the company's stores in Exmouth and Plymouth will be closing down for good within the next few weeks.
Owned by Arcadia, who also own Burton, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Topman, the company fell into administration after coronavirus restrictions forced many stores to close last year.
At the end of 2020, we saw Arcadia sell one of their clothing brands, Evans, to Australian company City Chic for £23million.
It has not been confirmed how many staff in Exmouth and Plymouth are at risk of redundancy, or exactly when the stores will close.
A spokesperson for Dorothy Perkins said: "Both stores will be closing within the next couple of weeks.
"Unfortunately it is not our policy to provide comment on individual store closures, however for the last 2-3 years the group has reviewed its store portfolio on an on-going basis especially at moments where leases expire."
On the administration, Ian Grabiner, chief executive of Arcadia has previously said: “This is an incredibly sad day for all of our colleagues as well as our suppliers and our many other stakeholders.
“The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, including the forced closure of our stores for prolonged periods, has severely impacted on trading across all of our brands.

“Throughout this immensely challenging time our priority has been to protect jobs and preserve the financial stability of the group in the hope that we could ride out the pandemic and come out fighting on the other side.
“Ultimately, however, in the face of the most difficult trading conditions we have ever experienced, the obstacles we encountered were far too severe."
