A number of police vehicles swarmed a street in Exeter this afternoon following an incident at a jewellery store. Police were alerted to reports of an altercation at Leymans Jewellers around 2.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday, March 6).
An eyewitness reported seeing the storefront being “smashed up”. They said: “Jewellery shop smashed up in South Street”.
A picture from the scene shows a number of police vehicles along the street. However, it is not known how much damage was caused to the store.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson has told DevonLive: “Police were called to Leymans Jewellers in Exeter at around 2.30pm on Wednesday 6 March following reports of an altercation.
“It was reported that a male and female were acting aggressively to a member of staff.”
