Exeter has some great places to grab a bite to eat
The city has a real mix of independent restaurants, takeaways, cafes and bars, as well as boasting some of the big chain restaurants. Sidwell Street has an eclectic blend of takeaways from pizzas to kebabs, and more eateries and cafes can be found in the Princesshay Shopping Centre and the Guildhall Shopping Centre.

There are plenty of things to do for free in the city
If you're keeping an eye on the pennies, there is still plenty to keep you, and the family entertained in Exeter without splashing the cash.

Things to do with kids in Exeter
Exeter has lots of things to keep children happy, whatever the weather. If you're after an action-packed adventure, look no further than Exeter's Clip n Climb climbing centre - the ultimate vertical playground for the young and the young at heart.
The first trampoline park in Exeter - i-Bounce - may also be of interest. It's located on the city's Marsh Barton industrial estate. This energetic indoor attraction offers prospective bouncers the chance to launch themselves onto a giant airbag, enjoy the activity and stunt zones, light chaser games, foam pit and interactive football target game. Booking is advised, especially in wet weather, and parking can be limited at busy times.

If you fancy a bit of retail therapy, Exeter has you covered. Explore some of Exeter's quirky independent shops on Gandy Street, Exeter Quayside, Paris Street, and Sidwell Street. Exeter offers several ways to explore the city
The city has local bus operators to help you explore the area and several train stations, so you can take a short journey out of the city with ease if you'd like to visit somewhere like Exmouth. Exeter also has a Park n Ride service and several car parks within a short walking distance of the High Street and Exeter Quay. If you prefer to travel by bike, they can be hired from places including Co Bikes and Saddles and Paddles, which also offers boats, canoes and paddleboards.
