A free Exeter festival has confirmed it will be returning for a second year. Organisers say they're planning to go bigger and better this year, with the addition of some exciting new features.
Last year, a brand new festival called Exeter Fest arrived in Northernhay Gardens, with wide variety of entertainment, food and drink and market stalls. At the time, organisers Exeter Bar Co said there was a "huge lack of events in the city centre" and said they hoped the new festival would soon become a staple in Exeter's summer events calendar.
They have now confirmed that they are planning to return for a second year. The four-day event promises live music, children's entertainment, street food, drinks from local breweries and a selection of stalls by local makers.

The free festival will take place across the bank holiday from 11am to 5pm from May 24 to May 27. There will also be a new after dark event from 6pm to 11pm on May 24, 25 and 26, which will require tickets to attend.
The full line-up of traders and performers is yet to be announced but last year featured a range of local favourites. Last week, Exeter Fest posted on Instagram, advertising their last remaining spaces for traders and confirmed they were still accepting applications for food, drink and craft stalls.
They said: "Traders! We still have a few spaces available for Exeter Fest 2024 - this year will be the biggest yet with some epic announcements coming soon. Get in touch if you would like a trader pack".
On their website, Exeter Fest says: "Live music on our big stage. Kids entertainment, arts and crafts, street food and catering trucks, drinks from local breweries, local producers as well as a big selection of great local makers.
"Bring your picnic blanket, your family, your dog and join us for a great weekend soaking up the atmosphere."
In a social media post last year, they said: "We believe in creating awesome free spaces and events for our city to enjoy. So we created Exeter Fest to showcase our great city and provide great activities for locals. Grab a beverage from our bar, a bite to eat and a seat and enjoy the weekend."
