TikToker Michael, known on the platform as @themeditterraneangardener is dishing out gardening advice, and tutorials, and asserts that there's more to be done to ensure a stunning backyard.

Through an informative post aimed at April's gardening tasks, Michael, who holds a substantial following of 217,000 fans, offers pivotal tips relating to grass-cutting height.

The online sensation advocates maintaining a close eye on grass length, stating: "Now is the perfect time to start cutting your lawn again but remember not to cut too low - around 4cm is perfect." Not stopping at trimming lawns, Michael also offers three additional top-notch tips to encourage lusciously green lawns.

His other advice involves aerating, scarifying, and planting seeds in dead patches, underlining the importance of these tasks, he said: "You might also want to aerate, scarify and lay some seed to repair dead patches."

"It's the perfect time to move perennials that you think are in the wrong place and while you're there you can divide them to get new plants to fill your borders. Then give everything a good mulch to suppress weeds and improve the soil."
