Exeter has always been a great place for a night out. From Timepiece to Fire House, Vaults to the Chev it has something for everyone.
But if we took a pub time machine back to turn of the Millennium and crash landed in the High Street we would see that quite a lot has changed.
Many of the pubs in this list are gone but not forgotten. Some were demolished and replaced with housing, others lasted only a few years and left little imprint on our memories. In many cases the building still stands while the name of the business has changed.
