A shoe store in Devon has announced it is closing its doors for good. Moshulu, which is based in Devon and has 35 locations, will be shutting nine stores across the country, including its branch in Honiton.
The shop sits on Honiton's High Street and announced its imminent closure with a sign: "Closing down, thank you for shopping with us." The Sun reports Moshulu will close for good today (February 26). The decision to close nine branches comes amid high business rates and the cost of living crisis, a spokesperson for the company said.
A spokesman for Moshulu said: "Due to lack of footfall and high business rates, we have made the difficult discussion to close nine stores across the UK, including the store in Honiton. It's not a discussion that we take lightly, the staff working at the store have been given the option to work at other stores or take redundancy, many have chosen redundancy."
