A woman has suffered serious injuries after being trapped in her car which crashed into a tree. The collision happened at Haldon Ridge, between the A380 and A38, on Thursday evening
Police investigating a serious road traffic collision near Kennford are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward. The road was closed for nearly five hours as a result of the crash.
It was reported that a blue Honda Jazz had left the carriageway and had been in collision with a tree. Emergency services attended the scene.

The driver, a woman in her 20s, was trapped in the car and was extracted by the fire service. She was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious leg injuries, police said.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene. It was reopened at about 9.30pm.
