Four people were injured following a crash which closed the M5 on Thursday night. The crash happened southbound between Junctions 28 and 29 and saw the motorway shut for nearly two hours.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police, as well as the South Western Ambulance Service were sent to the scene. Four people sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police attended a two-car collision on the M5 near Cullompton just after 9pm on Thursday, March 14. The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway between Junctions 28 and 29.
“Ambulance also attended. Four people sustained minor injuries and were taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The road was closed at Junction 28. The closures were lifted at 10.45pm.”
