A man was assaulted and robbed in Barnstaple by a group of three people, police have said. Two people have been arrested in connection to the robbery, which took place on a cycle path behind B&M, between Coney Avenue and Rose Lane on Monday, April 8.
During the incident, which took place between 6.15pm and 8pm, a sentimental toy, sweets and alcohol were stolen from the man, who was also assaulted. Three people are believed to have been involved in the attack.
Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the incident. In particular, officers would like to hear from two unknown men who were seen watching nearby.

Police are also keen to hear from anyone who saw people matching the descriptions of three suspects who were in the area between those times:
- An adult white male, 6ft tall, wearing a black tracksuit top and black tracksuit trousers.
- An adult white female with a blue jacket.
- An adult white male, 6ft 4ins tall with a brown beard, a grey puffy coat, a green hoody, black jeans, a black Adidas bag and a Tesco carrier bag.
